Mrs. Gertrude O’Neal Walker, affectionately known as “Mother Walker”, was born on March 17, 1933, in Waynesboro, Georgia. Mother Walker was the youngest female of nineteen siblings from the union of Luke O’Neal and Daisy Boneport O’Neal.
