Reverend Dr. Walter Edward Clayton (also known as Walt, Deek, and Peter) was born, reared and educated in Bankhead, Alabama. He was the oldest son of Walter Lee and Mary Ellen Clayton. After graduating from high school, he relocated to Pontiac, Michigan for many years. The Lord was working with him even as an entrepreneur in Michigan. He migrated back south in 1982, joined the Miles Memorial C.M.E. Church and held positions as Class Leader, Bible Study Teacher, and Director of Christian Evangelism. It was at Miles Memorial C.M.E. where he met and married the love of his life and soul mate Mrs. Lillian Holman Clayton.

After trying to escape the call of God on his life, he knew that there was no other way out than to preach the unadulterated gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was licensed first as an Exhorter in 1992, local Preacher in 1993, Deacon in 1994, and an Elder in Full Connection in 1996. The licenses were appointed during the GEORGIA NORTH ANNUAL CONFERENCES….view obituary.
