Willie “Bill” Cleve Barksdale entered into rest on September 28, 2021. He was born April 5, 1954, to the late Leonard Barksdale, Sr. and Bertha J. Singleton, in Augusta, Georgia.

At an early age, he accepted Jesus Christ and was baptized at Cumming Grove Baptist Church, under the leadership of Reverend H.B. Bady. He was educated in the Richmond County School System. He was employed at Gracewood Hospital and International Paper.
