Mother Kathryn Smalley Smith was born on October 25, 1930, to the late Bannie and Flossie Luke Smalley.

She was an LPN for many years. She loved helping and caring for people, and feeding the homeless. She also loved taking people to church, singing, and playing the piano. Kathryn was a musician for various churches.
