Her life: On Monday morning, January 18, 2021, Emma Julia Jenkins Smith finished her earthly assignment and transitioned to glory. Her journey began in Lincolnton, Georgia, on Sunday, May 25, 1941, when she was born to the late Tillman and Helen Jones Jenkins. A few years later, she welcomed a brother, and they moved to East Orange, New Jersey, where other siblings were born. Emma learned at a very early age how to care for others.
