Sergeant First Class Charlie Jones, Jr. (Retired), seventy-five, entered into rest at his home on Sunday, January 6, 2019. He was born March 16, 1943, in Gadsden, South Carolina to the late Charlie Jones, Sr. and Millie Phillips Jones.

At the age of ten, his father relocated the family to Washington, DC. At the age of nineteen years old, he enlisted in the United States Army where he did three tours of duty in Vietnam. During his enlistment, Charlie worked as an Operating Room Technician, and he operated as a Helicopter Medic, where he was wounded twice while performing his duties in Vietnam. He later retired from Fort Stewart in 1984, as an E-7. After retirement, he earned an Associate’s degree at the Phillips Business College…..Click here to View Obituary……
