Eleazer N. Nikoi was born on March 19, 1950, in Accra, Ghana to Seth and Sarah Quartey Nikoi. He attended the University of Nairobi and Tuskegee University, where he graduated with a VMD Degree in Veterinary Medicine.

Eleazer Nikoi had his primary education at the Ahmadiyah School in Kumasi. For his secondary education, he attended Prempeh College, excelled at the General Certificate of Education, Ordinary Level and then to Sweden Secondary School for the GCE Advanced Level Education. From there, he gained admission to the University of Ghana “Legon”, to read Veterinary Medicine.
